Why I'm building

I've been putting off writing this post, maybe because saying it out loud makes it real.

After several years in cybersecurity consulting, I've decided to leave and start something of my own.

I keep coming back to how I got here.

A career that somehow stretched across four continents, through consulting, engineering startups, and IT services firms. Every experience taught me something—about cultures, industries, ways of working, and technology. Looking back, I realize I was collecting perspectives without even knowing it.

I've seen how differently the same problem looks from a boardroom in one country and a manufacturing facility in another. I've learned that, more often than not, our biggest challenges aren't technical—they're human. And I've had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly talented people who have shaped the way I think.

I'm deeply grateful to the clients who trusted me with their toughest problems and to the colleagues, mentors, and friends who've challenged, supported, and inspired me throughout this journey.

I'll also admit this: leaving something stable to build from scratch is equal parts exhilarating and terrifying.

But I've wanted to build for a long time, and at some point, the wanting outgrows the waiting.

I'm building at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity because I believe the next decade will require entirely new approaches to enterprise security.

The mission I'm pursuing is simple: help enterprises adopt AI with confidence while making security an enabler of innovation rather than a barrier to it. There is an incredible opportunity to rethink how organizations manage cyber risk and budget in an AI-first world, and I'm excited to contribute to that future.

Alongside this new chapter, I'll also be writing more about what I'm learning—from AI and cybersecurity to leadership, entrepreneurship, and the future of enterprise technology. I'll be sharing those thoughts on srimenon.com as I build, learn, and occasionally stumble along the way.

This is just the beginning, and I look forward to sharing the journey.
